The RP code V1.3

Much like the geek code, this attempts to rate you, or your MUSH, or your faction on a MUSH, or whatever, by the style of roleplay adopted. The categories are as follows: each is rated from +++ (I like this a lot/this is how it is) through = to --- (this is not for me/we don't do this). Take the textual descriptions as somewhat tongue-in-cheek. If you want to offer suggestions for changes, please email rpcode@altrion.org.

First off, the header bit. Like all such codes, it has an optional wrapper:

After that, first comes the letters RP, followed by one or more optional letters to indicate your particular interests, as far as the genre you like to RP in:

a - anything
P - Pern
W - White Wolf/World of Darkness
c - cyberpunk (any flavour)
f - fantasy
s - SF
B - battletech/other mecha
S - superhero
Z - Amber (Zelazny, silly)
J - Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time
A - admin
C - coder

Any of these can be individually preceeded with a ! for NOT Pern, NOT WW, etc., if you have particular dislikes, or bracketed for 'have played, don't go mad over', or preceeded with a ? for 'I'd like to try this...'

Now pick from this table. If you swing between a range of preferences, separate them by a /, e.g. P+/---. If you really don't care, use *, e.g. H*. If you are normally one thing, but occasionally prefer another, use (), e.g, H+++(--).

Add at the end X (for eXplicitness) followed by the rating you prefer your RP to be limited to (choose from G, PG, 15 and R).
