Introduction

Thistle Profession: Badr al-Naga is the owner of Ye Olde Chair, an antiques & curiosa shop located in an old warehouse near the bridge. Owns, he doesn't run day to day affairs himself. Crispin, who he raised together with Tara, is his right hand man as well as his best friend. Business must be thriving, since he and his employees can afford quality as well as quantity. Word has it that he can sometimes procure even the rarest of items.
Marital status: is or should be married to Tara, barmaid at the Crossing.
Origins: came to Parnassus around 3909, from somewhere in the south.
Character: is described as generous and generally likeable. Sharp of wit, dry of humour. Jovial as well as a private person. Respectful to purebreds. Loves the ladies, but is very loyal to Tara. Can stand his ground, but isn't likely to start a fight.

There are whispers of hints of rumours that there is more to Badr's operation then people are let to believe. Tiny fragments of faded stories about how he will deliver anything a customer should want. Probably just jealous tongues, you know how people are...

OOC-note

Badr and his merry band of... -whatever- can provide almost anything. If your character is in need of an item or a service... If your character is in possession of the right amount of cash... If your character would start asking questions at the right taverns... Chances are your character would be subtly, inconspicuously directed to Ye Olde Chair, to Crispin, or to the man himself.

Aether II

Nearly every culture has some stories of angels, demons, faeries, gods and goddesses. Was it merely human fancy that created similar legends all across the world, or could those stories have some basis in fact? What if these beings really did exist, and our rare glimpses of such creatures gave rise to tales, myths--even entire religions.

Imagine, if you will, a world that is a reflection of our own. Seen as if through rippled glass, or the ever-changing depths of the ocean, it seems at once familiar and strange. Aether is this world, a distorted image of what is, what has been, and what will be. It is the heart and soul of the 'real' world, and its magical facets are reflected in our 'reality.' Aether is a world separate from our own, yet inexplicably entwined; where "gods" and "goddesses" still walk; where "angels" and "demons" wage a battle between light and darkness; and where magic, in all its varying forms, still exists.
